Questions from the CryptoRank Team
Q1: Can you tell us about Superpower Squad? What problems do you solve, both in the space and in the community?
Greg: Superpower Squad is a new Battle Royal GameFi project that aims to be the biggest game to launch in 2022. We believe we have the best gameplay of any web3 game to date and have built it in a way to attract the mass markets of gamers who have no knowledge of Web3 or GameFi.
We’ve solved a lot of the user onboarding and user experience problems that GameFi 1.0 companies faced and we’ve built in some new Tokenomic models that we believe will allow our tokens to overcome the problems all GameFi 1.0 projects are now facing.
Q2: Could you briefly describe the milestones Superpower Squad has achieved and your upcoming plans?
Greg: Superpower Squad has been in development for 2 years… so we’re pretty far along. We’ve built 5 gameplay modes, launched our beta on the iOS and Android stores, brought in web3 partners (KuCoin, Ankr, and (big announcement later this week), and have just started our first fundraising process.
In the next 60 days, we’ll launch our initial NFT sale, announce the launch date of the full game, and go through an IDO and TGE event when we launch the game in Q4 at some point.
After that our goal is to literally make the biggest game in the industry over the next year, attracting core mobile gamers and web3 gamers alike… so we have quite the journey ahead.
Questions from Twitter
Q1: The gaming sector is very competitive & many platforms have to work very hard to reach their current number of users. How #SPS will compete with existing gaming platforms & what additional features will SPS team can offer to attract gamers?
Greg: Unlike other web3 games, SuperPower Squad focuses on playability. We bring a variety of game modes, tournaments and guild systems to create a real sense of community for our players. On top of that, our UGC tool allows the players to design their own NFTs and trade on our in-game market, and it’s coming soon so please stay tuned!
Q2: Hi, just wondering what is the design process like at ?#SPS
Greg: Thank you so much for the question! We have a Web3 Native Team and Web2 Game Studio, where each of them is in charge of different aspects of the game. Our game studio ensures that our gameplay is top-notch and is always working on new features for the game. The Web 3 Native Team is the backbone of our web3 technology and provides the users with easy-to-use features, such as NFT trading and wallets.
Q3: Can you elaborate more on how you’ll create #Superpower Squad game to bridge both the crypto world and the non-crypto world and what are going to be all the features of the game? How can users earn from playing this game?
Greg: Superpower Squad has a couple of unique game mechanics that no one has tried yet
1. Most importantly, we focus first on being a fun Free to Play game
2. Users who want to battle for rewards have to pay to keep their characters in action after every 10-12 plays.. keeping users paying to play in our Play to Earn mode
3. We are only giving Play to Earn Rewards to players who win games or perform well. This will keep the bots out of the game and ensure a high quality of gameplay
All things combined, we think we have the first fun, competitive, and casual game that will attract traditional mobile gamers to the space
4. And lastly, each player account will come automatically with a custodial wallet linked to their account and with most in-game purchases done in-app, ensuring that traditional mobile gamers will not have to have any previous web3 knowledge to have a seamless and fun mobile gaming experience
Q4: Can you elaborate on how you can use the NFTs in the game and how to use them to earn?
Greg: We have 3 different types of NFTs: Heroes, Skins and Weapons, all with different durabilities. Each hero comes with different rarities and their exclusive skin and weapons, which can increase stats and earn bonus rewards. You can collect shards to upgrade your NFTs and trade them on our upcoming NFT market.
Q5: As a newcomer to crypto, I have always faced difficulties in navigating through the UI of many platforms. And these clumsy UI have always been difficult for newbies. So, is the #Superpower Squad a beginner-friendly platform & hassle-free?
Greg: The #SuperPowerSquad interface is super beginner friendly. You can easily learn to navigate our different functionalities with our simple tutorial that wouldn’t overcrowd you with information. Our UI design team consists of developers with 15 years of game design experience that ensures everything is easy to use. Besides, we have a community full of volunteers and active team members who would be more than happy to answer any questions you have!
Questions from Telegram
Q1: Where can I currently buy Token?
Greg: We currently have not chosen an IDO Launchpad platform yet but will be making these announcements in the next month or two and the IDO will happen around November or December. For now, you can follow our Twitter and play the Beta of the game which is live in the app stores. The top 100 players in our beta will earn tokens or NFTs over the next few weeks
Q2: What are the most highlighted features in #SuperPowerSquad platform that can make it stand out in the market? Does your project open for beginners or only for crypto experts? How would you welcome non- crypto natives to explore your platform?
Greg: Superpower Squad is made for everyone with no crypto, gaming, or blockchain knowledge needed. We’ve built some amazing technology into the game to allow us to do this including:
1) Building custodial wallets into the accounts
2) Building in our own blockchain solution so that we control our gas fees
3) Pushing the majority of purchasable items through mobile app stores so that users can use app stores as onramps into the paid versions of the game
Altogether, we believe SPS will allow millions of users to onboard to the industry through our fun casual game and eventually into web3 users as they earn and want to get money out of their game accounts and into other places
Q3: Your project name seems to be very interesting. Does it have any story behind it? Can you share us with the inspiration for approaching this name?
Greg: Yes haha! All our heroes have a super interesting back story to them. We have drawn inspiration from mythologies to steampunk, combined with our designers’ own imagination. We recently held a contest to invite our players to tell their own hero stories and we are planning to integrate them with our game. we have received some really interesting ones, so be sure to check those out when they come out!
