Blockchain was officially recognized as one of National Strategic Technologies in Vietnam in October 2024. According to DemandSage, more than 560 million people around the world are now using blockchain technology, accounting for approximately 3.9 percent of the global population.
Despite this growth, public understanding in Vietnam remains limited. Many still associate blockchain mainly with cryptocurrency trading or speculative financial activity, rather than its broader applications in digital governance, data transparency, and decentralized infrastructure.
Conviction 2025 seeks to bridge this knowledge gap and promote more inclusive adoption of emerging technologies. The event is co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Blockchain Association, the Electronics and Communications Association, and the Ninety Eight ecosystem. It is held with the support of the city’s Digital Transformation Center and the Department of Science and Technology.

To further advance the ecosystem, the Ninety Eight Scholarship Fund will award one billion Vietnamese dong to support advanced training programs and internship placements at leading tech companies. This initiative aims to foster the next generation of innovators who will drive Vietnam’s position in the global digital economy.
