Bitcoin’s mining difficulty jumped by 14.95% on June 16. This is the 2nd biggest upwards move since January 2018.

The recent difficulty increase happened two months after the record drop -15.95% and less than 2 weeks after the second-biggest fall -9.29 since 2019.
