Continuum World is a Free-2-Play & Play-2-Earn MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game where players can explore a new world and build buildings to collect resources, level up, compete, socialize and earn the game’s own Token $UM.

On September 24, Enrique Dubois, CEO and Co-Founder of Continuum World joined us to answer our questions.

I am a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of online experience. My expertise is mainly in gaming and blockchain. In the blockchain field, I led one of the successful Token sales in 2017, called Real, which is a real estate crowdfunding platform still operating today. Continuum World was envisioned in 2020 during the lockdown after we started playing all games of our youth like Stardew Valley.

#1. Can you tell us about Continuum World? What problems do you solve, both in the space and for the community?

Enrique D.: – Continuum World is an NFT MMO for web browsers and smartphones, that presents a new blockchain world full of resources to explore, craft and trade. The goal of the game is to gather new and unique resources every day to obtain financial benefits, collect them and compete in PVP rankings. The game takes place in a new world called Continuum, which resembles in some parts the Earth, but has some unique characteristics such as floating islands and unique vegetation and animals.
An UMi (characters of the game) colony is getting established and its objective will be to survive and thrive by exploring its abundant resources and wonders, farming its lands, and trading with other fellows UMis.
The player controls their UMi, each one with different abilities that can be leveled up to specialize in gathering specific resources. The world is divided into lands (NFT) that players can purchase to build farming facilities and get more resources. The game features a non-linear progression format where the player has to complete new challenges and events every day and moves freely along the world. Additionally, the world is inhabited by unique creatures (NFT) that players search and hunt to be used in PVP races and competitions.

#2. Could you shortly describe the milestones Continuum World has achieved, and about your upcoming plans?

Enrique D.: – In this Q3 (now) we have released the Game Concept, NFT Drops, and the $UM Token pre-sale, where we have successfully raised 2.1M$ from TOP VC’s such as Shima Capital, X21 Digital, Basics, VYSYN, AU21 Capital, Peech Capital, dWeb3, Pluto Ventures, ZBS Capital, Metavest, OnChain Capital, Alves Ventures, OneMax Capital, Darkpool Ventures, ExNetwork, and others.

During Q4: We will start with our Lands pre-sale, and the start of the $UM staking yield program.
During 2022-2023 the game will be fully functional, releasing step by step each of the main in-game developments.

#1. Every day I hear about an upcoming play-to-earn NFT game that is going to be the best one ever. What is the main feature of Continuum World that differs from any other f2p (free to play) NFT game and makes it really interesting?

Enrique D.: – Continuum World is an open world MMO and nothing like this exists so far on the Play2Earn niche. Also, we are seeing many projects that are not fun to play and others that require a significant investment to enter, or even both. Our game will be open to everyone, like in any free-to-play game; you will pay only if you want additional improvements. And our primary focus will be to offer a playing experience as fun as any commercial game: fun first is our mantra. We want to keep the game available for low-spec PCs and mobiles so anyone can join our World. We’ll have an Android and iOS version that will allow players to share the account with the PC/crypto version, so players could gather resources and level-up and mobile and then trade them in the PC version, for example.

#2. We know you are working on Ethereum and Polygon chains. Why were Ethereum and Polygon chosen? Are there studies for other networks?

Enrique D.: – We’re using Polygon (Matic) for the blockchain part to solve the Ethereum fees problem. We did research on other solutions which are also good, but we decided to stay within the Ethereum ecosystem because we believe it will be the leading standard.

#3. Can you talk about the advantages of Birdum NFTs specially designed for gaming? What are the types of Birdum NFTs and their role in the game?

Enrique D.: – The Birdum is a unique species from Continuum World, and one of the most attractive NFT of the game. They are portrayed as galliform birds, with different colors and variations depending on the type, which makes them unique. Their primary role is acting as transportation for the player across the world map, traveling faster and accessing new areas. Additionally, they will be used to compete in PVP races that add revenues to the player. They can be hunted, trained, bred, and used in competitions.

This is not a new game that only has some designs and a website. We have 13 people team working on it since last year.

#3. Why investors should buy and hold your token/coin in the long term?

Enrique D.: – We are developing a fun game to play with, which works magically with NFT and crypto technologies. We believe LAND introduction and the game itself will have a lot of adoption.
