Despite Bitcoin’s price stagnation, its mining difficulty rises to new ATH
Bitcoin mining difficulty has recorded another increase in October, despite the stagnation of the price and a decrease in trading volume. Bitcoin mining difficulty reaches a new all-time high of 36.84T after a single increase of 3.44%. At the same time, average hashrate reached an ATH of 263.63 EH/s.
The higher difficulty, the more computing power is needed to mine the same number of blocks, what makes the network more secure against attacks.
