Cambridge University has launched a ‘Bitcoin Mining Map’

According to the map, the vast majority of hash power is located within China — with 65.08% of the global total.

That’s almost nine times more than the U.S in second place with 7.24%, followed by Russia with 6.90%, Kazakhstan with 6.17%, Malaysia with 4.33%, and Iran with 3.82%.

The rest of the world combined represents 6.5% of hashing power.
