The financial rating agency, Weiss Ratings, which was founded in 1971, started covering crypto on 24 January 2018 and launched a new website called Weiss Cryptocurrency Ratings.

Weiss Crypto Rating upgraded Bitcoin to A- due to improving fundamentals and positive price action ahead of Bitcoin’s next halving. They think that BTC should surpass it’s 2019 high, confirming the new BTC bull market that began in December of 2018 and suggests not be surprised if BTC suffers a short-term correction.

Why are such ratings important? Because many funds and large investors make their decisions based on indices and ratings.
