In Vietnam, people know me more as the founder & CEO of Spiderum – a social network for young people to share ideas/knowledge with 100.000+ users on the website. Islander is a project that has been cherished and developed by our team for about half a year, after a lot of research, testing, and learning from our own journey as a community for 5-6 years.

#1. Can you tell us about Islander? What problems do you solve, both in the space and for the community?
Viet Anh Tran: – Islander is an upcoming online learn-to-earn and decentralized affiliate marketing platform that:
- Revolutionizes affiliate marketing through NFT-powered solutions
- Uses an innovative way of learn-to-earn
- Backed by multiple top crypto VCs and communities.
There have always been huge obstacles: the lack of tools and the lack of know-how, that held the adoption and promotion of Blockchain projects to the new-coming Investors. With that in mind, we seize the opportunity of using Smart Contract and Decentralized technology to:
- Solve Crypto Project growth problems: Automate airdrops activities, efficiently attract investors and supporters
- Develop affiliate marketing and automate reward distribution for Projects, Influencers/KOLs, and crypto enthusiasts.
To make the adoption & promotion easier, Blockchain Projects will be able to apply many interesting game elements into the promotion of their projects, such as Game Visuals, narrations, quests, rewards, leaderboards and so much more. Our aim is not to create a game, but to make investing and marketing a game.
#2. Could you briefly describe the milestones Islander has achieved, and about your upcoming plans?
Viet Anh Tran: – We have been incubated by Spark Digital Capital, one of the top Venture Capitals for blockchain projects, and Avatar — the Avalanche Asia eco-fund. After seeing that we have the right minds, the right approach, the right solution for the problem, other VCs keep coming to us, and we think a few of these will catch your attention: Fundamental Labs, Muhabbit Capital, Kyros Ventures, ZBS Capital, Maven Capital, Basics Capital, VBC Ventures.
We also cooperated with high potential and quality projects. Currently, Islander has been cooperating with Avalaunch, Pangolin, Kalao, YAY Games, Colony, SupraOracles, DareNFT, Faraland… and will continue to promote activities with other projects in the future.
On the other hand, Islander also partnered with communities/KOLs to not only market the project but also encourage them to set up profiles on Islander and support possible campaigns later on. Till now, Islander has cooperated with many big communities/influencers such as Crypto Differ, Top 7 ICO, Crypto Rank, Coin68, 8868, Monster, Raccoon, Cubicmeter, PANews, TCVN, CoinF, CryptoFamily, AVStar, Cryptoiz, Moneyking, Avaxholic, Dynasty Korea. Most recently, we ran on testnet for a week and attracted more than 100.000 participants.
About upcoming plans, we have the following milestones:
- IDO/IEO in December
- Mainnet launching with huge activities together with our strong partners also in December.

#1. Can you give an overview of your Tokenomics and the utility of Token?
Viet Anh Tran: – So our token is ISA and here is the utility of ISA in our ecosystem:
Payment:
- Project: Create quest; Buy platform services such as user reports/analytics, marketing services (banner, ranking, etc.)
- Influencer: Mint affiliate link, withdraw fund
Stake to tier up:
- Influencer: higher reward – taken from platform fee
- User: higher quest limit; access to high-level & high-reward quests
Burn mechanism: platform fees converted to ISA are burned as a mechanism to reward all ISA holders’ community by reducing total supply. The logic here is that in the long run, we wish to increase demand for our tokens but decrease supply to benefit long-term investors.
#2. If the bear market comes will your token probably dump? Do you have any plans to prepare for this bear market? How will you handle the panic sale?
Viet Anh Tran: – We love the question and will be as straight as possible to you: We can’t control the market. We can’t tell/give you the advice to hold or not to hold ISA. What we do best from day 1 of our entrepreneur journey till now is keeping ourselves honest with everyone – our partners, clients, users, etc. We raised enough capital to help us develop the product even during a tough time, and that’s the most important aspect for any project that wants to go for a long term. You can be sure that, due to the nature of Islander, which is developed to support other projects and help Retail Investors connect with great investment opportunities, we can continuously develop our product and partnership to actually generate more and more revenues even when the market is bearish. Besides all that, we have the experience of managing and developing platforms, with the contribution of the best people in Product Development, Marketing, 2D/3D Art, and Gamification… We succeeded in building Spiderum – or the so-called “Medium of Vietnam” by many Vietnamese fellows – from scratches. I can promise you that we are eager to do it again, with Islander, for many years to come, with all of our passion.
#3. One of your services caught my eye because it’s called Fraud Monitoring, can you tell us more about it? How does this feature work? How can this feature help users, especially those new users with little experience in the space to not end up in undesirable situations?
Viet Anh Tran: – Islander provides a toolkit so that projects can create different tasks, some of which are very difficult to cheat. For example, a partner project can create a set of 100 questions, allowing to randomly choose 10 out of 100 questions with the answers also reversed in sequence and only those who answer correctly will receive the reward. That’s just one of the ways for Islander to prevent fraud, I just give an example for easy understanding. In addition, in the future, issues related to KYC will also be developed and promoted to ensure that the situation of virtual/non-existent users is minimized. Besides, we also invited a third party (Hacken) to help us audit the smart contract. On the projects side, we have strong connections with trusted partners such as Avalaunch, Fundamental Labs, those with very high standards and can introduce good projects to us. We are really careful about approving a project to be on our platform. By doing so, we can minimize the risk of having a partnership with a scamming project.

#1. Currently, most investors only care about profits at the moment but ignore the long-term benefits. So can you give them some reasons why they should buy and hold your token in the long term?
Viet Anh Tran: – First, we solve a real problem with marketing activities in the crypto world. Our list of trusted and established partners shows the validity of our solution. And if we can solve this problem well, there are a lot of values created and we could potentially play a significant role in the whole web 3.0 ecosystem.
Second, if things go as planned, demand for our tokens will grow as the platform grow while supply decreases due to the burn mechanism, the price is more likely to grow and benefit long-term investors.
Third, we have a team with execution ability and track records, and the team as everyone knows is one of the most important factors in the development of any project.
#2. Does your great project support staking program? If yes, how does your stakimg system work, what is the requirement for users if they want to stake in your platform?
Viet Anh Tran: – Yes we will. And we will introduce the feature soon. Basically, for Islander, users can stake to tier up and have more learn-to-earn, share-to-earn benefits, and also earn more ISA.
#3. Revenue is a very important aspect for all projects to survive and maintain the project/company. What is the way to generate profit/revenue from tokens? What is the income model?
Viet Anh Tran: – Our model is working as a platform and we make revenue by collecting platform fees from projects which are operating on our platform. Besides, NFT products are one of our revenue flows. Ultimately, we make money by charging service fees such as marketing, advisory, advertising.
