Jigstack AMA Recap

Jigstack (Jigsaw / Stack) is a decentralised autonomous organisation governing a portfolio of ethereum network assets and protocols.
Today we have Robert Weir as COO of Jigstack joining us to answer our questions for the next hour.
I am Roby Weir. I am the COO of Jigstack.
My background over the last 10 years has been in developing companies from the ground up, which mostly has been in the e-commerce space taking brands from the infant stages to global distribution in only a few years.
I have also had experience in the Hospitality sector as both an operator and investor.
I fell in love with the crypto space a few years back as I feel it has a lot of similarities to the start of web 2.0 back in the late 2000s and love all the amazing tech being built that was disruptive and forward-thinking.
Question from the CryptoRank team
#1. Can you tell us about Jigstack? What problems do you solve, both in the space and for the community?
Roby: – Jigstack is the first decentralized Ethereum-based DAO (autonomous organization) with a conglomerate structure. Its purpose is to govern a range of high-quality defi products. We see ourselves as wanting to be the Microsoft of Defi which brings a standard of both user experience and security that is bespoke and trustworthy. For the community side, we are solving a big problem by giving our token holders more voice on really driving products and our company to be decentralized.
#2. Could you shortly describe the milestones Jigstack have achieved, and about your upcoming plans?
Roby: – Sure thing. Well, we are weeks away from launching our MVP of our first product Lemonade (official date announced soon) which will also be the platform where we will be doing our public sale. This shows we really believe in our products by using the product to launch our own token for Jigstack. In terms of other milestones, the acquisition of ICOrating was a huge win for us and will make Lemonade an even more powerful tool to expose new exciting projects wanting to launch while still keep its solid review system to make sure people are well aware of the interest in the project from others. In the coming months, we have an additional 4 products to launch including our wallet and our staking platform Stakbank. Stay Tuned!!!!!
Questions from Twitter
#1. Why i need to own $STAK? And how Jigstack provides value to DeFi and tokenization enthusiasts through uniformity and quality assurance?
Roby: – Ultimately because we are developing a new standard of products that will change the benchmark for others who have launched and projects yet to deploy. Also as Stak holders, you have a seat on the table once our DAO governance model is completely activated. Your voting power as a STAK holder will help push the new norm of Dapps/Products to launch as well as other key stakeholder decisions to ensure that the community is driving the success of Jigstack and the direction.
#2. What are the key milestones on your roadmap – both things you have already achieved and things that we can look forward to? Any partnerships and short/long term technical milestones that you want to talk about or bring some attention to?
Roby: – Yes similar to my answer above we are close to launching our first product in the coming weeks. In regards to partnerships, we are working with polygon (matic) to find a solution on the very annoying gas prices as this is a very big problem facing many companies on ETH. Hedera we are looking to bring our products to their chain to further reach other products in the crypto realm…
#3. Security & user interface are the most important aspect that users see on a platform. How has JIGSTACK worked on this? How reliable and adaptive is JIGSTACK platform to new members in crypto ?
Roby: – Great question! Our motto from the start is we want it easy enough to us that our grandparents could learn to use while still holding up bulletproof. This is a balancing act and a lot of the time one always ends up outweighing the other. How we focus on getting this right is by bringing in reliable third parties to both tests the front and backend numerous times as well as activating auditing firms to test our code and guarantee it is built solid.
Questions from Telegram
#1. How do you plan to spread awareness about your project in different countries where English is not spoken well? Do you have local communities for them to let them better understand about your project?
Roby: – A great question we are looking at our communities, traffic, and also interest overall in the Defi space to choose the right languages to activate next. Wish we could do them all but for now, we are sticking to English as it is very universal. We will be adding though.
#2. In Africa where I come from, lemonade stands are usually operated by children who have passion for business, and the beauty of it is that they don’t need to go through any intermediaries as people are always eager and happy to patronize them. So applying the same concept to crypto or DeFi as it were is quite unique, can you tell us more about Jigstack lemonade stand concept and why you think solutions such as Lemonade will play an increasing role of importance in the space?
Roby: – Exactly that. It is basically frictionless to start and attract the end-user as well as not having middlemen chewing up costs. That is why we choose the name Lemonade Stand.
#3. There is fierce competition in the finance industry. Obviously, there are other projects that look like you. How will JIGSTACK deal with its rivals? Do you have details to guide users to you?
Roby: – Yes and wouldn’t expect anything else than health competition. But we believe in what we are building will have the correct balance of user experience and security which will separate us from others who we feel have not hit the right balance between these two pillars. Additionally, we have acquired ICOrating which will work with lemonade as a decentralised rating platform to assist all investors on upcoming projects on our launchpad. We are also working with key partners to take our project to other chains and assist projects launching in their environment.
